Bank of America Consumer Loan department,
Installment loan Managing the loan or lease California
I had a home equity loan with Bank of America. It was paid off almost two months ago. I received nothing and all information was removed from online so on - - I called and I told them I wanted an accounting of the payoff since there was noting online. They told me I was to receive a $260.00 but did not send an accounting which at this point I demanded. I reiterated several times my request for an accounting bringing all information current from my last statement. Subsequently I received a check in the mail for $110.00 with absolutely nothing else - NO explanation as to how that amount had been arrived at. I called on - - an again demanded an accounting of all activity in the account from the date of my last statement up to when the issued the check. Instead of an accounting today ( - - ) I received a letter saying that the lien on my property was released and I could contact the country recorder to verify it. STILL no accounting. I called Bank of America once more and demanded to speak to the legal department. I got the total run-around. The
of America is withholding financial information from customers to which they are entitled and no matter what you do you simply can not get that information. I figured if this is their policy they must be making - dollars on the innocent public. I intend to find a lawf irm that is interested in filing a class action suit against them. Manwhile I felt they should be registered here. All I wanted was an accounting from my last statement through to when they issued the refund check and how the amount of the check was determined. I have a right to know that information but they refused to give it to me.
