M&T Bank Corporation Bank account or service department,

(CD) Certificate of deposit Account opening, closing, or management New Jersey

I opened this CD account ( along with - additional ) approximately 5 years ago. I now wish to close this account, but M & T Bank is making it impossible. When I opened this account I was adamant that I did not wish to have these accounts renewed automatically, I was told at the time I opened the accounts that it would be not be a problem and it would be noted on the account, this was not true. I sent my son to the bank on my behalf, I am - - - with a - - and -, and have difficulty getting around. He was told at the branch that the power of attorney that he possessed was not valid and the institution would only accept their own power of attorney form. I feel that M & T Bank uses deceptive methods and is attempting to take advantage of a -. I am attaching a copy of the power of attorney.
