-/-/- paypal was going to charge me $16000.00 when a buyer wanted to charge back all her purchases for 3 months to myself and about - other merchants. We all submitted positive proof of her making the buys including government Id and her holding photos stating she was making the purchases. Paypal at first sided with all us merchants, and then later reversed themselves and charged us all with the purchase amounts. Every merchant then filed with the FBI and eventually the FBI investigated and seized her computer and the pictures were still present proving she made the purchases. Also we each filed with the CFPB against paypal and paypal then issued each of us credits for the chargebacks because paypal " violated its own policies '' regarding chargebacks. At the time paypal instituded a $200000.00 reserve on my account for selling only, which means I would have to deposit $200000.00 or sell $200000.00 before I would receive any money. Paypal withheld all my remaining money at the time which was about - into the reserve. So for the past year, I have n't sold anything. I only used my paypal to pay for things and had no problem with this arrangement. A couple days ago, however, paypal limited my account for no reason at all. I called in and customer service could n't find any reason why it was limited though they thought it was probably due to the - - - incident ( the lady who tried to charge back $16000.00 ). So now I ca n't use my account at all and paypal has been holding my money for nearly a year. The name/email of an FBI agent on the case is - - [ -- ]. He can verify what I said is true.
