On - -, 2016, I walked into a PNC branch and applied for a check ready loan. I was instantly approved for $50000.00 " check ready loan ''. I took the check to the Auto Dealer and I was told the check is not valid since I wanted to add my family member to the title. I returned to PNC branch. At the branch, the representative was instructed to destroy the check and I need to apply as a joint application. The Branch followed instructions provided by the underwriter. The application was entered and it was status as denied " Straw purchase '' I returned to the auto dealership and the agent there was able to provide me with a loan. I have excellent credit and worked very hard to maintain a high beacon score of over -. The decline given at PNC was one unacceptable and secondly, tarnish my good credit. I consider this to be bad business practice and very disappointed as a consumer. I believe the PNC underwriter handle this situation with limited information and did not try to clarify or rectify any misunderstanding. Bad business practice affecting consumers in a negative way.
