Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
I set up an online payment of $1500.00 for my Synchrony Bank credit card for - - and it cleared my bank soon after. I confirmed with both my bank and Synchrony the funds had been released/received. I am now being told that the funds will not be available for three weeks while they make sure my payment is n't fraudulent (? ). I was told it was because it was large and had it been for the minimum amount, no problem. Am I being punished for paying my card down? I offered to contact my bank to confirm the funds were not " fraudulent '' and was met with no interest to confirm.
