Closing/Cancelling account Louisiana

Wells Fargo closed credit card account for local Home Furniture store due to inactivity. This account was opened -/-/2013 and used to purchase furniture. We were not aware the terms meant they could close it due to inactivity. People do not go out and buy furniture on a whim just to keep a card active. Never notified that they were closing this account. Do not want ill affects on credit report/score due to this!
