PayPal Holdings, Inc. Consumer Loan department,
Installment loan Taking out the loan or lease Florida
My name is - -. A few years ago PayPal opened a credit account under my name without authorization, at some point a purchased was pushed to that account. At the time I was unaware of this until PayPal insisted I make a payment on the account or risk my credit report ranking. After some wrangling back and forth I paid the dept and PayPal assured me they would close the account and would ensure it would not happen again. A few weeks ago I got another demand letter from PayPal with regards to yet another " open case '' regarding my PayPal credit account, demanding payment and notifying me they have been reporting the delinquency to the credit agencies. I am refusing to make payments- this account was never authorized by me and I did not want a credit account. My credit is steller and I am virtually debt free- I dont need credit from PayPal and this cycle has to end. What can I do here? Seems nothing I do will stop them from opening unauthorized accounts and feel there is no way to punish PayPal for doing this other than to pay a lawyer out of my pocket to formally get them to stop- however dont believe the financial burden should be placed on a consumer who never authorized an account to be opened in the first place. Please advise ... I 'm sick of this company getting away with things like this.
