Security Finance Consumer Loan department,
Installment loan Shopping for a loan or lease Texas
I am - in the Texas - - and not on - - orders but I do actively - every month. I took out an installment loan from Sunbelt Credit for about $1000.00 in - -. I paid my loan off early in - -. I just called to apply for a new loan. With the exception of my promotion - and the dates of - loan applications, everything else about the old and new loans are the same. Same amount, interest, payment plan, status in the - -, etc. Only this time, Sunbelt Credit ( - - - - -, -, T- - ) denied me credit, stating they no longer allow military to receive loans because of the new Military Lending Act. How is it that an Act meant to protect service members from outrageous interest rates is actually preventing service members from getting loans, even if the service member can afford the loan? I 'm not - -, I 'm not on - - orders, but because I 'm affiliated with the - -, I feel I 'm being discriminated against due to my service in the military. What are my rights? If Sunbelt Credit violated my rights, what actions can I take?
