I applied for a bar study loan with Sallie Mae, the representative ran my credit report and stated that I qualified based on the information in my credit file however because I did n't have a job offer yet, he could not approve me. I have a non-traditional name and I believe that the representative knew that I was not - based on my name and used that to discriminate against me. I know several people who have been approved for the same loan who did not have a job lined up at the time of their approval. I attended - University in - -, Iowa.
