On - -, 2015 ( approximately - ) my daughter and I pulled up the the drive up ATM machine to make a deposit. Upon driving up to the machine I found $340.00 ( $360.00 ) still sticking out of the machine from the previous customer. I took the money into the branch ( - - - - MN ) and asked for the manager ... who was n't available. There was long lines for all the tellers so I flagged down a lady walking behind the counter and told her that I found this money in the drive thru. She took it and walked right away and did n't ask for any of my information or where it was found. Two days later I called the branch and asked for the manager and again she was n't available. I asked the lady on the phone if she knew if anybody had claimed the money yet and she said no. A week later I called again and actually spoke to the manager and she stated to me that nobody still had claimed the money. I asked how much time has to pass before my daughter and I get the money
Wells Fargo machine that it is run by a separate company that they do not have access to. She stated that the individuals would actually have to file a claim for the money through their bank, because anybody can use the Wells Fargo machine, and they would be reimbursed that way. When I explained to her that I did n't give the money to the bank and that if the lady who initially took the money had explained anything to me regarding the process that I would never have given her the money and that the entire process was handled very unprofessionally when I went into the bank. I NEVER GAVE THE MONEY FOR THE BANK TO KEEP and would like it returned as if I was originally told the process for the customer to file a claim to refund their money. Thank you, - -
