Citibank Credit card department,
Brooks Brothers Credit Card, which I believe is currently issued and serviced by Citi Group, has incorrectly reported a negative remark and has not taken actions as promised by its representatives. It is my understanding that the Citi Group has acquired or taken over Brooks Brothers Credit Card accounts from its previous servicer sometime in the -/-/2015, - or -. Unfortunately and in fact, ever since the account transfer to the Citi Group ( which I did not know that it did ), I did not receive any correspondence including but not limited to billing statements, emails, and a new card. My log-in did not work with the site and I had no reasonable ways to contact the credit card servicer during my business trip in -. Thus, when I came back I immediately called the Citi Group after finding out that the Citi Group acquired my account. When I spoke with the representative, the person completely acknowledged the mistakes
any negative remarks on my credit report and at then, other representative also assured that I would be fine and without any delinquency/late and/or other negative remarks. However, several weeks later I was able to locate that there was a negative remark stating that I was 30 days late. I called back to confront the issues and ever since then, the Citi Group has changed its words and is now saying that the reporting is valid. Even some of their representatives are urging me to write and report what I have experienced. The Citi Group has dropped the ball and they should be responsible in fixing the issue. The Citi Group is acting in deception and fraud as they are not abiding by what their representatives have assured and guaranteed. Furthermore, I believe one of the main issues here is that when the transfer or acquisition was made by the Citi Group, they did n't notify their customers properly. Therefore, it is my belief that some account holders actually were confused and did n't know about the acquisition. Moreover, it would be extremely prejudicial for an account holder who NEVER had any late or otherwise negative remarks on his account ( account holder for almost 10 years ) to be penalized when it was clearly a banking error done by the Citi Group.
