I went to a - Department Store in -, Pa. I gave the clerk a - - for payment. Clerk seemed to process it but asked if I wanted to earn points for future purchases.I said it said I do n't come often but ok as long as it is not credit card since I have college loans at variable rate interest and dont want to ruin my - score. She went into computer and handed me the reciept which I figured was charged to the - card. over a month later I got a bill from a - Rewards. Here I caught on that I was scammed at the clerk table. with a BAIT AND SWITCH like - - and - bank pulls off telling you it is only a rewards card not a credit card but illegally proocesses a unrequested credit card application. The - card submitted to pay earnd points at - and in a subsequent call to - they agreed to send me a Marshalls bill, take things off their card and cancel it and I would pay the Marshalls bill with the - card that I was scammed out of using thus losing VALUABLE - rewards AND getting a - card I did not want with predatory interest rates and fees. However they failed to do so and instead sent a letter asking me to send them proof i paid with -. It was very clear in phone conversation they SHOULD HAVE PROCESSED - BUT SCAMMED ME, ISSUED THEIR CARD AND CHARGED THEIR HIGH INTEREST CARD.
