Installment loan Problems when you are unable to pay Missouri

I live in -, Missouri. Tower Loans ( out of Mississippi ) moved to our area about five years ago. I knew that my credit worthiness was low, and I had very few options for a loan except through a sub-prime institution. I received - loans from Tower Loans. I owe Tower Loans over $5000.00 dollars. - loan is secured by a non-running vehicle. The other is secured by furniture. I got behind on payments because of illness and continued underemployment ( part-time work ) during the last four years. I am not disputing that I owe the money. I want Tower Loans to stop calling my department head 's office to locate me. I have a direct work line with the capacity for private messages. I have asked Tower Loans to not call my department head 's office and asked to be transferred to me at my desk. I have a direct line. The loan personnel at Tower Loans said that they could call any office they wanted because they originated the loan, and were not a " debt collection agency. '' I insisted that the law refers to " debt '' in a global manner. I need to know my rights, and if I am misunderstanding the law. I am fine with the calls to my desk phone, but I can not abide by the calls to my department head 's office. Even though my work is part-time, I still need my job. Moreover, I am concerned with this harassing activity. Sincerely yours, - - - --
