I reported my credit card as stolen as soon as I was certain I did n't have it anywhere. When I called the credit card company we discovered there had been fraudulent charges. The representative informed me that they put a hold on my card due to suspicious activity. I was told I would be credited for the charges and an investigation would take place. A week later I received a letter explaining my claim was denied as they believe the card was in my possession. This is not true. These are fraudulent charges. I did not sign or put in my pin number for these purchases which I believe should act as evidence. If my credit card company investigated my usual activity it should be clear these purchases are not typical in my credit card usage.
