On - of - I applied in a Wells Fargo branch for a Secured credit card. This card has an annual fee of $25.00. On - - - I applied for a credit card offered though Wells Fargo called the Wells Fargo - - - -. That card 's ( - ) application was denied because I am not a -. Because of this application 's denial I recalled that my Wells Fargo had been open for THREE years now and I was still paying an annual fee each year and the card remain a secure credit card. So I called Wells Fargo to ask if the reason my card had not graduated to a unsecured credit card because I was n't a - and they informed me that that was indeed the reason. I asked for the annual fees I had paid to be refunded because the card was never going to do what was advertised as becoming a unsecured credit card in a year or more time. The representative at first informed me that - annual fees would be able to be refunded however later in the call after being put on hold I was told that only - annual fee can be refunded. It is unacceptable that I was never informed of Wells Fargo policy on unsecured credit cards for non--.
