In - I acquired an unsecured loan from Citibank AKA CBNA Due to unforeseen reasons I was unable to pay on the loan, In - Citibank opted to and wrote off the debt and sent me a - cancellation of debt for the amount of - I reported that year as income and paid taxes on that amount. Started early in -. several of us have been asking Citibank to report the account as Written off and zero Balance and for more than 8 months Citi have refused to do so, I have made over - calls each call lasting 20 to 60 minutes each, I been given - different fax # 's to forward information and I never spoke to the same person twice and each person would give me different and wrong information. Our most recent request is very simple, that they remove the dispute comment at all - credit reporting agencies, and they are refusing to do so I am at the 12 hour with a mortgage to close on my home and this is my only detail that is holding the closing - guidelines are, that no disputes can be on my credit report, Citibank refusal to first report correctly and at minimum remove the dispute comment is holding us hostage We need immediate action brought against Citibank to do what is right and report to the - credit Bureau the correct information within 24 to 48 hours
