Barclaycard has had my timely payment for a number of years, and rewarded me with a number of increases in my creditline. However, they decided to replace my credit card with a chip-protected card, out of cycle - meaning, before the current card expired. The card never arrived, I found myself heading into an -/-/- wedding, and the holidays without a card. They promised an overnight replacement twice, which never came. I got angry and closed the account, asking for a refund of a $750.00 overpayment. Naturally, the refund has never arrived. They are now telling me that they need to " open a case '' and it will take another 10 days to investigate. I have to pay them interest if I mess up & pay late. This company is irresponsible and incompetent at best - and fraudulently witholding money owed, at worst.
