After months of a derogatory account appearing on my credit report, I finally got to the right department of Chase bank that handles this matter. I was notified that this was a Chase - account which I never had. I notified them that I was a victim of identity theft and that this account is unfamiliar to me. As they were unable to locate the account, I requested them to remove it immediately from my credit report. They then found the account ( miraculously ) and told me that there was - charge from an " Aives of maine. '' I explained to the manager that I never had this account or a transaction with this company. They told me I needed to fax and mail them in order to initiate a dispute. I called about - times in a matter of 2 1/2 hours because I was continuously hung up on. They also told me the alleged amount was for $340.00. On my credit report they are reporting an amount of $430.00 charged off. This is not my account and I demanded they remove it!
