JPMorgan Chase Credit Card Complaint

Advertising and marketing

JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,

Advertising and marketing California

I recently signed up with Chase for a credit card that worked with - - for frequent flyer miles, the " - '' program, the - - - -. The promo that was advertised was for - bonus points after spending $2000.00 within 3 months and I did meet that requirement. After meeting this requirement I was not rewarded the points initially offered. The ad was a link directly from the - wesbsite to a chase credit card application from a promo that was advertised on the - website. Once I contacted chase to inquire about the points I was told that this was not the offer that I had signed up for even though the link from the - site took me to the application directly, giving me no other options for offers or applications to accept other than what I was re-routed to. This is very misleading to the consumer. You should not be allowed to advertise a certain promotion and offer a benefit for giving a company your business and then not follow up. I fulfilled my part by spending over $2000.00 in the first 3 months and the credit card issuer

I feel this is a fraudulent advertisement. The company is intentionally enticing consumers with what looks to be a great offer and is then changing the promo offer after the application is submit to a lesser offer, a bait and switch it seems. This theory is based on my communications with Chase who told me I had accepted a different offer even though there were no offer choices after clicking on the link for the - points. Attached is : 1. a screenshot of the offer 2. a copy of the last communications with chase 3. a copy of the statement where the $2000.00 spending requirement was fulfilled
