Closing/Cancelling account Massachusetts
Re : Refund from closed Chase Account I paid for a flight on British Airways using my now expired British Airways Chase Visa card -/-/-. The flight was scheduled for -/-/-. I cancelled the card -/-/-, and the account closed officially by -/-/-. I understand from the Chase credit card customer service representative that the account was removed from their system on -/-/-. In -/-/-, I canceled the flight on British Airways, and requested a refund from the merchant. Per British Airways, my card was refunded on -/-/-, for the amount : $610.00. I informed them that the card had been canceled, but they assured me that Chase would send me a check for the amount, even though the account was closed. Since -/-/-, I have tried repeatedly to get my money issued to me by Chase, but have been told in writing that they do not have any record of the account since the account was closed. I have documentation from British Airways that they sent the funds back to Chase, but to date, I have not yet received this check from Chase. I am requesting that you please intervene on my behalf, since I have no other recourse at this time. Please let me know if you need any more information. Thank you - -
