JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
I booked an overseas trip online for me & my wife on -/-/- with - -. I requested Business Class upgrade ( from economy plus ) for the return trip. We were put in a non-guaranteed waiting list for the upgrade request. I did not expect - - to charge my - - - - credit card the upgrade cost ( $1200.00 ) since the upgrade was not guaranteed and the return flight is not until -/-/-. However, they did charge my credit card for this amount on -/-/- - more than 2 months in advance. I called - - to complain about the charge but was informed it 's company policy to charge customers ( in advance ) for non-guaranteed upgrade requests. And they further stated that if I did not get the upgrade, they will refund me the funds. I believe this policy of - - is quite unfair to customers. They take your money for over 2 months without guarantee for the upgrade - meantime, the customer will have to pay the credit card finance charge if the said amount is not paid in full. I therefore request your agency put pressure on - - to stop this unfair policy. Thank you for your immediate response and assistance on this matter.
