JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
We applied for a Chase Marriott Rewards Visa card for my wife several months ago. The promotion was for - free Marriott Rewards points after $2000.00 in spending during the first 2 months. We spent over $2000.00 in the first two months and paid off the balances in full each month. We did not receive the rewards. When I sent an email inquiry to Chase detailing the problem, they responded by telling me that I had 3 days left to spend a total of $3000.00, not $2000.00. I reiterated the conditions of their $ -/2 months promotion and asked them to honor the agreement. I still had the original promotion printed out and in my possession. They closed the account instead. Our FICO credit scores are in the low -. This is not the first time I 've experienced this type of problem with Chase Bank. It will certainly be the last time.
