Credit monitoring or identity protection receiving unwanted marketing/advertising
TransUnion Credit reporting department,
Credit monitoring or identity protection Receiving unwanted marketing/advertising California
My social security number was used to open a credit account. I contacted TransUnion to put a fraud alert on my credit file and had to listen to a 2 minuet recorded advertising message to purchase their credit protection services at $11.00 a month. This is absurd. I had to listen to the entire recorded message in order to get a confirmation that they had put a 90 day fraud alert on my account. They were able to hold me hostage at a time were I felt very insecure about the identity theft that happened to me. I ca n't even imagine how many people they are able to scare in to purchasing this service from them.
