I asked for a bid from a company via email for transfer of a group of - people, about - miles from a city to the start of the trail. I received a bid via email for the transfer of $590.00 each way. When I received the - bill the charge was $2000.00. I disputed the bill with -. When - rejected my dispute I asked for a copy of the merchants reply to the dispute. The merchant had changed the price from $590.00 to $950.00 each way and added extra charges without ever informing that he had changed the prices and was going to add extra charges. There was no contract. When I tried to talk to him in person about a refund for return the trip which I canceled 7 days before we were to return to the city he told me he had a 30 day cancelation policy. At that point I did not know he had changed the fee and had added extra charges. ( I canceled the return trip ( ( - phone calls, - which went on to the company 's answer phone and - to an employee of the company ) ) as the group 's air flights to the east coast were all canceled because the east coast airports were closed due to heavy snow and blizzards. ) I have tried to contact him to resolve the dispute via email, by registered signature required mail and by " sort box '' mail where I have a tracking number and time that the letter was placed in his PO box . He has refused to respond to me. I have disputed the fraud charges with - 3 times. - has supported the merchant and this fraudulent charges 3 times.
