I had a payment for a loan with Net Credit due on - -, 2015. I called to pay off the entire balance of the loan but had to use a different checking account than the one I was using for the loan. The representative for Net Credit advised I would need to mail a check from the different bank account in and it would need to be processed for me to use a that different account. I then asked if I could pay with a debit or credit card and the representative advised I could. I told the representative I would call back on - - and pay off the loan with a debit card because it would be quicker than going through the process of paying with a check. The representative advised that she would make a note that I would call back and pay off my account on the -. She told me the amount would be $3900.00.

I told the representative that I was advised to call back because paying with a different check would take longer than paying with a debit card and I was not told interest would accrue on the account in the meantime. The representative told me that it is a contractual agreement that interest is accrued when payment is not made. I told the representative, and the manager, I attempted to pay the debt on - - with a check and that the time it takes them to process a check it not my responsibility. They accept checks as a payment option, the representative on the - advised me otherwise, and I should not be charged interest when I attempted to pay the debt on the -. -, the manager, then told me I also stated I would pay off the balance on - -. I asked - if the interest I was being charged since - - or for me being one day late from the day I stated I would call back to pay the balance in full? - advised the interest was from - - to today. I told - multiple times that I should not be held responsible to pay interest when I attempted to pay the debt on - - but I was still charged the extra $170.00. If needed, I did record the conversation and can provide a copy.
