Chase wrongfully closed my checking and savings account due to " unusual activity. '' I deposited - checks that I believe may be the reason they closed my accounts. The - checks were : ( 1 ) $1900.00 issued upon cancelling my insurance from - - - -, and ( 2 ) a $6900.00 cashier 's check from - Bank as payment for consulting work I did for a contractor installing medical equipment. - checks should be valid. My statements showed the checks were cashed on - - 2015. A letter from Chase, dated - - 2015, instructed that my accounts would be closed because of either unusual activity or because Chase had not received certain information from me. The letter instructs that they will verify all deposits and payments and then take another 10 days to issue my funds back to me. I am a retiree and need those funds. I did not find out about the closure until I went into a branch and the teller informed me.
