I deposited on - -, 2015 a - check which was actually for services for the bank. I deposited the check in my Wells Fargo account on the same day. Because of the - - provisions, my bank had collected funds the next day. However, because of the way the law is written, Wells Fargo tells me that they can block my access to those collected funds for up to twelve days, which is what they have done. It defies believe that a bank, which exists at the pleasure of the government can bar my use of those funds or if allowing those funds can charge me an overdraft fee for funds that have already been collected for my account.
