Consumer attempted to finance a vehicle through a dealership that faxed the application to American Credit Acceptance finance company - - 2015. American Credit Acceptance finance company sent back a denial letter ( consumer has copies consumer is attaching to South Carolina 's Attorney General 's complaint form ) dated - - 2015 stating that consumer was NOT eligible to receive financing from American Credit Acceptance, LLC., due to consumer 's negative credit rating. Consumer received a Notice Of Right to Cure letter ( dated - - 2015 ) from American Credit Acceptance stating that consumer has until - -, 2015 to send payment of $1100.00 on an account consumer was denied ( in writing ) and does not owe. Consumer was sent the fraudulent demand letter by US Mail ( certified return receipt ) which constitutes 'mail fraud ' and is indicative of 'extortion ' under South Carolina 's Code of Laws ( Section - ) and Attorney General - - - Office who has requested a formal complaint be filed by consumer along with evidence accompanying the complaint form as these types of fraudulent practices harms the general public. In an administrative process to begin a formal lawsuit against American Credit Acceptance finance company, consumer is documenting this complaint to attach to the complaint consumer is filing with the South Carolina Attorney General 's Office. Consumer will NOT pay American Credit Acceptance anything as consumer will not engage in extortion on ANY level. Consumer wishes to thank CFPB for providing this venue of mediation and documentation as it is greatly appreciated.
