In - 2015, I received a bill in the mail from Macy 's for - charges that I did not make on -/-/15. Immediately upon receiving the bill, I contacted Macy 's and informed them. They stated that they need to conduct a fraud case and that they will send a letter to me in the mail to document in writing what I told them. I repeatedly called Macy 's every week, as I did not receive this letter in the mail until -. While waiting for this letter to arrive, I received - calls on a daily basis from another agency ( not Macy 's ) asking for me to pay this Macy 's debt, upon which I would tell them that the bill was fraudulent and currently being investigated. Other times upon answering these phone calls, the person on the other end would hang up the phone. I felt harassed and not respected every time I received these calls. I asked Macy 's to stop trying to collect on this bill that I did n't make. They continue to send me statements in the mail and to not process this letter that I returned the very next day upon receipt 3 months after notifying them about the fraud. I have never heard of this process taking this long for wrongful charges and have been extremely stressed about their process. I always pay my bills on time and tried to take immediate action, but they have an ineffective process and is one of the most stressful things I have encountered.
