AES/PHEAA Student loan department,

Non-federal student loan Can't repay my loan Can't decrease my monthly payments Georgia

Got a private loan for School ( - University ) after graduation could not find a job. Upon finding a job as a -, still did not make enough to pay for the private loan. After - for 3 years on and off, was unemployed again. Have contacted private loan company to lower payments, since I currently have a full time job, but they stated that they have done all they can and can not lower payment. Mother co-signed but since Dad can not work his original job and had to take a lower paying job, she is having problems trying to help me pay as well. Dad went from a $- an hour job, to a $-. Mom has now had to take her funds to help keep the household running. What options are available to assist with getting this private loan amount reduced? The interest rate from the years I could not pay have made the loan go from $45000.00 to $80000.00. I try to pay what I can, I can not pay $750.00 a month.
