I owe a bill - from early cancellation of contract for $1000.00. A debt collection agency, Valentine & Kebartas, contacted me on - -, 2015 to arrange payments for this debt from phone number -. The employee of theirs setup payment arrangements of $25.00 a month which I paid on the - of every month until suddenly I received a call - - stating that the payment arrangement did n't count because the employee was never authorized to setup such an arrangement and has been fired and that I needed to either pay the whole balance or split the remaining $1000.00 into 6 monthly payments. I explained to them that I should n't be punished for - their employees mistakes and that an arrangement had been made on a recorded line and that I refuse to agree to a new arrangement. I was transferred to the night shift supervisor around - - who said he would keep the payment arrangement the same and transfer it to his accounts and would just call me the - of every month to collect the $25.00. I woke up this morning to a missed call again from this agency - and then received another


the one who approves all payment arrangements and that $25.00 a month is not acceptable and that is why the payment arrangement had been cancelled. I asked him how he could cancel an arrangement that had been okay for past 3 months and he said that it did n't matter that I needed to setup a new arrangement. At this point in time I told them I would be contacting the government because they made an agreement on recorded lines and are breaking them and making false representations. He explained that collection efforts and calls would continue until I agreed to more than $25.00 a month because that amount is not acceptable and then said okay in reply to me filing a complaint and hung up. I do not believe this should be allowed or else what is the point of having agreements if they can simply break them twice in one month and then act like I have no choice but to accept a new arrangement at 6 times the original payment amount!
