I received a phone call on -/-/2015 from Enterprise Recovery Solutions ( ERS - stating that I owed the College - $1000.00. I asked what the money was owed for and they were unable to tell me. I stated that I did not believe I owed them any money as I had previously received financial aid and student loans to pay for my tuition and no other debts were owed to the college. I asked them to send me proof of the money owed and what the debt was for. I never heard back from them. 6 months later this company reported me to the credit bureaus for this debt as a failure to pay. I sent a letter to the company on -/-/15 and received no response. I called the company on -/-/15 and spoke with a representative who said I must speak with a supervisor and I left a voicemail however never received a phone call back. On -/-/15 I emailed ERS via their online " contact us '' option and never heard back from them. After a little bit of back and forth I was able to determine that this debt is valid by contacting the college


calls nor voicemails from me. In my reply I provided validation of my phone calls and letters sent to ERS. With her second reply she then stated that a letter was mailed to the address on file -/-/15 and then again on -/-/2015 and confirmed that yes I did call ERS but now there were no records of a voicemail for a supervisor. - Not everyone practices integrity and it is not hard to believe that a supervisor would not admit to receiving the voicemail and not returning the phone call as they would not want to risk their position ). - - also stated in her second response - that the collection had been reported accurately as disputed however I am not disputing the information, I ONLY ASKED FOR FURTHER INFORMATION TO ADVISE WHAT THIS DEBT WAS OWED FOR AND TO VALIDATE IT. I asked ERS if I could set up a payment option ( which I did - and asked them to remove this collection from my credit report since I was never given the information that I had requested back in - 2015 nor was I given an oppurtunity to pay the debt. I later forgot about the debt and assumed that the company had recognized their error which is why I never heard back. When I spoke with - - via phone at ERS on -/-/2015 she confirmed that since the first contact with me on -/-/2015 there were no further attempts to collect this debt. She also stated that the " letter '' that was mailed to me on -/-/2015 was received back in their office on -/-/2015 for non-delivery. ( This alone proves that I did not recieve the validation ) I do not understand why I must be penalized for seeking verification for a debt that I did not know exsisted by having my credit affected with a collection item that I am more than willing to resolve. the company has already received my banking info for payments but refuse to remove the collection even though I never refused to pay and did not even get an option previously to verify the debt nor set up an arrangement. It is not like I was ignoring them or told them I would not pay, I only wanted to know it was valid. All I ask is that this company remove the collection item from my credit files.I have attached the activity ( responses ) from my complaint with the - as well as the attempted contact I initiated with both ERS and the college to gain understanding.
