Payday loan Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt is not mine Michigan

Many years ago I had a payday loan online, it was paid many years ago ( four or five years ago ) and a company claiming to be collecting a debt has been calling my phone, and my family 's phone relentlessly. When I picked up, I informed the person calling that I had no unresolved or outstanding debts yet they continue to call me and my family. When I researched the number that was calling there were many webpages stating that this was a phishing scam, in which companies take your social security number from old aggregate/loan sites and claim you owe money that they can extort by making all of these awful phone calls. I have contacted the -, the federal trade commission, the attorney general of my state and now the cfpb. I will continue filing complaints until the receive the proper cease and assist and follow up with legal action if necessary.
