Credit card Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt was paid New York

Chase is illegally and incorrectly reporting cancelled debt ( for - credit accounts - Chase is continuing to report debt cancelled as open account with debt still due to Chase to credit reporting bureaus - - - and telling me this is still legal debt they can report and collect. This is wrongly and adversely affecting my report and score with accounts that are closed reported as open and balances due that are no longer due as the debt was cancelled. I defaulted on - Chase charge accounts -/-/-, Chase closed the accounts few months after and -/-/- issued me - Cancellation of Debt for each of these accounts. And in addition to this even the amounts became income and I paid taxes on it. They can not say they cancelled debt and then still claim it is open account with debt still due and report as current account and balance to credit bureaus. They ca n't have it both ways when they cancel the debt, it is then no longer debt owed, and that puts me in double jeopardy paying


I have been trying to deal with the credit bureaus and Chase for about a year now and it 's getting me nowhere they are handling this illegally and need to be stopped, and my credit reports need to be updated to have this taken off it is no longer debt. I have been able to get it taken off the credit bureau reports with explanation as above and submission of the -. But it keeps coming back to the reports as Chase keeps reporting it each month and I have had to go through this process multiple times and need to have it stopped at the source, Chase should not be reporting this. Right now - accounts are still showing as open with balance due on -, best I can tell right now it is not showing on - - and - but I have no way of knowing for sure I can only order report once a year and it could come back at any time on any of the reports as it keeps being re-reported.
