Wells Fargo Credit card department,
On Friday, - -, 2015, at approximately - I received a call from - in reference to restructuring my credit card interest percentage to a lower rate based on my superior credit score. The suspect stated that they had my account information up on the computer and I needed to verify the card information and personal information to make sure I am truly the card holder. They first started with my date of birth, then proceeded to ask for the security code on the back. Next, he asked me for the card number itself. For each of the questions he asked for, I provided erroneous information, knowing that this was a true scam. Once he asked me for the information again, ( apparently my information could n't be confirmed - I then told him that there was additional information on the back of the card and asked if he wanted me to read it to him. Eagerly, he stated, Yes! Please! '' I read, 'I am not -! '. Immediately, I heard an extension pick up and another male voice screamed that I was a mother - '' and my he was going to - my mother ..., etc. You get the message. I requested that we should meet me to go over my account in person. He rudely declined the offer. Obviously this was a scam that I hope you can bring this kind of - to justice. I am willing to testify to the conversation and will support any kind of prosecutorial investigation that your agency is committed to. It is my belief based on the persuasiveness of this individual that many elderly people will be victimized by this scam.
