JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
Customer service / Customer relations California
I applied and received a Chase Bank cobranded credit card with -. I registered it online with my account at Chase, in the same manner in which I registered my other Chase credit cards. As part of the registration, I set it up for automatic payment. The Chase system gave me the option, through a drop-down menu, to use the information already in their system to deduct the payment from my checking account at another institution. Apparently, the Chase system did not populate the existing information correctly for the Fairmont credit card. When it came time to process the payment, the transaction failed. This was all due to an error in the Chase system. As a result, Chase charge me interest for the late payment and is likely not to give me the promotional benefit which enticed me to open the account. It is also likely that they will report me to a consumer reporting agency for having a late payment. I talked to an individual at Chase by the name of - -. He was completely ill prepared to address my issue and was unable to resolve the problem.
