I have been getting a lot of calls on my fax phone which I usually do n't answer. I answered and it was Convergent Outsourcing, Inc., a collection agency. They were calling about a - - Bank account. I do n't recall having an account with this company. I am now receiving mail requesting payment in full. I have checked my credit records and if I did have any business with this bank it has come and gone and has surely passed the time limit for being reported to any credit bureaus. I became a total and permanent - veteran quite a few years ago, - hit and I was living on the streets for awhile waiting for my - compensation to start. That took about 13 years. Since then I have worked very hard on cleaning up my credit and at this I only have - derogatory mark which is a paid charge off. I am still working on getting that removed since I have paid it. In all those years there was nothing about this bank. I checked online and found a lot of bad reports about all companies involved - What I want to know is do I have to worry about something like this showing up in my credit reports and are there any actions I can take to prevent this.
