In 2012 I went to the Emergency room for a - - and was treated by - - - - of - - - -, ( - ). - was under contract with Aetna Health Insurance Company at that time. - did not turn the claim into the insurance company in a timely manner, and the claim was denied. Per their contract, - was not allowed to bill me, the patient. Instead of writing the amount off the books, the balance remained but they did not bill me. Later, - sold their Accounts Receivable to ProCollect. ProCollect refuses to acknowledge the paperwork that proves that I do not owe the debt. I sent a copy of the EOB from my insurance company with a code ( - ). The - page of the fax is the back of the EOB which explains a code ( - ) You do not have to pay this charge. That is because the provider did not send the claim to us within the required time limit. ( - ) ''. The have put a collections entry on my credit report and have been sending harassing letters and making harassing phone calls. I made several attempts to resolve the issue and in return received abuse and zero cooperation. The would not give me an original invoice or any contact information other than company name for the original charge. Through my own research I was able to get the whole story from Aetna Health insurance company. I will also be reporting ProCollect to the FTC for - and FDCPA violations. The phone abuse went all the way to the top. I even spoke to - - -, Vice President of ProCollect. He immediately began yelling at me over the phone and talking over me.
