Credit line increase/decrease Tennessee
I have used the Chase - - - card for approximately three years. I pay an annual fee of $95.00 for this card, specifically because it grants me free checked bags and priority boarding. I had a credit limit of $10000.00, with approximately $5300.00 outstanding. I paid off the balance in full yesterday. Today I tried to book - airline tickets ( approximately $2500.00 ) using the card, and it was declined ( it had also recently been declined at a grocery store with plenty of availability - humiliating to say the least ). I called to find out the issue and was told they had reduced my credit limit this morning by $10000.00 to $500.00. I pay an annual fee specifically to be able to purchase airline tickets on this card - you ca n't buy airline tickets with a $500.00 credit limit! I do n't understand ( nor care ) what they *think* they saw in my credit profile that indicates I am either a higher risk or an unprofitable customer. They should have notified me before such a drastic decrease in my availability as I would have used the cash to buy my airline tickets instead of paying the account in full. I want my annual fee refunded for the inconvenience and embarrassment they have caused me.
