We have a Wells Fargo Signature Visa card. We see an interest charge on this month 's statement. On Wells Fargo online we can not find any information about the interest rate charged or the method of calculating the monthly interest charge on the WellsFargo.com Website, which we use for all our banking. I called Well Fargo Customer Care on the Visa statement and asked to find out where this info is available on the Website. The first person said he was not familiar with the online and transferred me. The second person said he was the Web site person and after - minutes of trying, established that this information was not available on Wells Fargo.com and was also not available on the VISA monthly statement! He gave up trying to find out where on the site to go. I said I wanted to register a complaint and was transferred to another Customer Care person who gave me a case # of # - and a phone number of - - ( Executive Offices ). I am writing now because in my experience when the answer is negative, that rather than say that ( on a recorded line! ), that you are referred to someone who will call within 24 hours. Okay, so my complaint is that neither the Wells Fargo online nor the statement show this significant consumer information easily available to the consumer where they themselves advocate the customer should do their banking when possible. That missing consumer information is twofold : 1 ) the interest rate including the APR charged on their Wells Fargo Signature VISA card, and 2 ) the method Wells Fargo uses to determine the monthly interest charge posted to the account. I know there was a booklet we got maybe even annually where that info may reside. That should not be the only vehicle for transmitting such significant information that the consumer should have readily available as they look at their statement and make their economic decisions.
