A company called Trident Asset Management contacted me to collect a debt on behalf of -. They informed me that I owed $190.00, they gave me a reference number to use on their website, and informed me that I had to pay it on their website, Tridentasset.com. Before paying, I called - to verify that this was accurate. Not only was it NOT accurate, they had never heard of Trident Asset Management and the account had NOT been turned over to them. This Trident Asset Management company also shows up on my credit report as owing them a debt. It is adversely effecting my credit score and I need it removed immediately. Do not pay these people, and be sure to do your due diligence.
