Wells Fargo Bank account or service department,

Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low Texas

I have created debit cards for my teenage children. The debit card is NOT a credit card but simply a debit card account with no checks. Wells Fargo prevents them from overdrawing the account through ATM machines and certain charges like at stores but allows charges from the internet to go through even though the balance is not there which results in $15.00 charges for each occurrence, even if the occurrence is $5.00. This was discussed with them on multiple occasions where they assure me it wont happen but does. This in no way is reasonable, they have all the technical capability in the world and are simply perpetuating overdraft fees based on old methods of writing hot '' checks. Its simple, if the funds are n't there, then the card wo n't work. They cant say they ca n't do it because they check it at the ATM and they check credit balances preventing transactions from going through. The fact is they are ALLOWING the DEBIT card to act as though its a CREDIT card with no credit limit, this is just wrong on so many levels and another example of how they fleece the - Public.
