- 2014 I was contacted by - stating that I owed a bill. I told them at that time that I have never had their service and asked for the service address, which I was told was in California. I informed the rep at that time that I have never had the service and have never lived in California. At that point I was told that it would be taken care of an apologized to. No further contact was received. I recently applied for a job with - - and as part of the process for selection, my credit was pulled. My credit is not perfect but I have worked hard to repair my credit and pay debts off and have succeeded thus far. When reviewing my report in - that was pulled for the candidate selection I found a collection notice on their from Stellar Recovery in MT for - -. I contacted Stellar, who had my current address but was referred to -. I have talked to - numerous time and they have not been able to find an account in my name matching the last - of my social. The last conversation I had with them is that it is not my fault I allowed my information to be compromised ; outrageous. If I had allowed my information to be compromised why could they not find an account in my name? I was talked down to and spoken to horridly and still I am now getting the blame. I have lost the job that I was after, which would have given my the income boost that I need. - simply will not do anything at all. A negligent company like this should not be allowed to be in business. I feel that they should be financially responsible for my job loss, violating the laws of conversion and allowing a fraud to occur and reporting falsely against me.
