On - - I applied for a credit card with walmart because they were offering $25.00 for applying for a credit card. I was approved and the sales clerk attempted to make firat charge on card ( even though it was never mentioned that you must make a purchase on the day approved to receive the $25.00 ). I stood around an hour waiting for the cashier to figure out why my new card was not working. Eventually, we ended up using my debit card for the purchase. They made me call customer service to see why the card was not working. Upon calling it turns out the cashier inputted my drivers license information incorrectly. I was told that the customer service representative will notate my credit card account and if I did not see the $25.00 on my first bill to call in. I called into walmart card center today - and was informed that they can not give me the $ -due to the first purchase not being made on the date the card opened. I explained what happened and the representative said she could only file a dispute.
