GE Capital Retail Credit card advertising and marketing September 15, 2015 - On - - I applied for a credit card with walmart because they were offering $25.00 for applying for a credit card. I was approved and the sales clerk attempted to make firat charge on card ( even though it was never mentioned that you must make a purchase on the day approved to receive the $25.00 ). I stood around an hour waiting for the cashier to figure out why my new card was not working. Eventually, we ended up using my debit card for the purchase. GE Capital Retail Credit card advertising and marketing September 12, 2015 - When I applied for a Wal-Mart credit card they told me that if I spend $75.00 today '' I will get $25.00 dollars of my purchase. I spent $88.00 and they did n't subtract the $25.00. They told me that I was supposed to spend it all at once for them to subtract the $25.00, yet they did not tell me this when I applied for the credit card. I am very upset and very dissatisfied with the service that I received. I feel that they fooled me into applying for a credit card. The line of credit was for a dental procedure for my - children. This was the only charge ever on this account. It was opened specifically for this procedure. GE Capital Retail Credit card advertising and marketing May 20, 2015 - HH Gregg advertises available financing on their website in - easy steps. This would lead the average consumer to believe after being approved, they could immediately purchase items online. However, HH Gregg has advised their financing company, Synchrony Bank, not to disclose the account number to the applicant prior to the applicant receiving their card. Synchrony Bank will only provide the account information to HH Gregg staff. This prevents a new applicant from immediately utilizing their credit & obtaining all available discounts online.
