JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
APR or interest rate California
I receive a promotional mailer ( not a statement ) with - printed blank checks to be drawn from my Southwest Rapid Rewards ( Chase ) credit card at least once a month soliciting a cash advance. They claim the APR is 0 % for the first year. Since a minimum 2 % fee is required, I calculate the APR at a minimum 2 % if the borrower paid no principal during the first year. The APR would be greater than 2 % if the borrower paid the principal down in the first year. This would appear to violate Reg. Z as it is more the .5 % different that the stated APR of 0 %.
