JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
Advertising and marketing Connecticut
I opened an account with Chase Bank -/-/- and immediately after began to receive pre-screening offers for their - and - -. - of that year I requested a credit limit increase which required Chase to pull my full report. At the time that the report was pulled I had - accounts which had been opened within the past 24 months. Chase granted the credit limit increase and continued to send the pre-screening offers for both their - and - products. From -/-/- to -/-/- I was sent an offer for the - and - cards once a week every week for the 8 months. In - I decided to apply for the Chase - and I was declined. The only reason listed on the decline letter was Too many credit cards opened in the last 2 years '' which at the time was -. I contacted Chase and asked them why they would send so many offers for the - if they knew I had a high number of accounts opened in the last 24 months? They stated that its not their obligation to inform their marketing department of any information obtained from pulling my credit. I do n't think that 's right or fair. They pulled my report 8 months before and saw the number of new accounts yet continued to send me offers for a product I was n't unqualified for. Now I have to have the inquiry negatively effect my credit simply because they refuse to share information between departments.
