I received a call from Chase Freedom. They notified me that someone has attempted to open an credit card account using my social security number, name and date of birth. I had not. They cancelled the account. I received the actual cards in the mail a few days later. - says my name, the other a false name, - -. Today I received yet another card from Chase Sapphire, that I did not apply for. I called to notify the company that it is not me. They told me the account was applied for - -, and the name and address was changed to - - on - -. I also have received a letter from - - thanking me for applying for a card and requesting a social number and mailing address from me. I have contacted my bank account and - - to receive a credit report and set up a fraud alert.
