GE Capital Retail Credit card department,
After finishing school and relocating, we became a few months behind on our statements with CareCredit/GE Capital Bank due to unemployment. Ultimately, we were past due over $500.00. Once stabilized financially, we contacted them several times to work out a payment plan because paying over $500.00 was too much for us, but we stated to them several times that we were willing to pay back what we owed in smaller more reasonable amounts. They have refused to help us and insisted that we pay back the past due amount immediately. Even after talking to one of their financing specialists, they still stated they were unable to work with us and only referred us to a credit counseling agency. Until then, they told us they would continue to add late charges and interest for missing payments. We feel this is unfair, we have contacted them several times in attempts to make more manageable payments, while they refuse to assist us and continue to increase our past due amount that we are already having trouble paying.
