Credit line increase/decrease Illinois

I contacted Sears to increase my credit limit for me to buy one of their product I was denied such increase then received a letter from the company explaining the reason which was - unsatisfactory credit and/or derogatory public record references ) I called the company -/-/2015 for more explanation since I was positive that I have no public derogatory on my credit account the customer service was not sure then confirmed that there is nothing on my credit history
